Offering Unique Items for History Lovers

Powers Museum Gift Shop

The Powers Museum Shop stocks books, gift items, family tree charts and a variety of reproduction items such as paper dolls, holiday goods, children's books, and much, much more. Most of our merchandise can not be found elsewhere in Carthage and much of it is purchased from specialty companies who supply museums and historical sites.

During the annual quilt display, an additional assortment of quilt books and quilt-motif gift items are offered for the run of the exhibit in addition to our regular merchandise.

For several years, the museum has specialized in reproduction Christmas paper goods and these are usually offered for sale by early October with a special Holiday Sale held on the second Saturday in December. Holiday memorabilia is one collecting area of the museum's, so in addition to having a special offering of goods late in the year, a variety of holiday items are available year-round for most holidays.

Other specialties offered include Route 66 books, postcards and souvenirs, Women's History Month items, music books, non-fiction books on Missouri as well as children's historical fiction, coloring books and paper dolls.

The museum offers items through this web site and occasionally offers special end-of-exhibit merchandise through eBay.
