2008 Display/Conservation Schedule for the Courthouse Quilts

In 2008, the 1895 quilt will NOT be displayed. The quilt will be in storage continuing its "rest" from display lights. The new 1995 quilt will not be on display most of the year either.
As many of you know, light is especially harmful to textiles and exposure to the quilts must be limited. Should you be visiting the Powers Museum at a time when the quilts are not on display, and you would like to see them to view family names, please call or email the museum well in advance of your visit to make arrangements to have the quilts brought out for a consultation session with the museum's Director/Curator.
