Carthage Cardinals (later Carthage Cubs), KOM League, 1946-1951

This section contains photographs in the JCSLA gift lot that involve Carthage Cardinals (and later Carthage Cubs). The Cardinals were part of the Kansas-Oklahoma-Missouri League (KOM), 1946-48. Games were played at the stadium in Municipal Park, located off old Route 66 (now West Oak Street). This was Class D baseball.

In 1949, the team became the Carthage Cubs and played until 1951. The KOM League disbanded in 1952. For further information on the KOM League and its players, see either of John Hall's books -- Majoring in the Minors and/or KOM League Remembered (consult "History & Resources" exhibit button).

Click on names to left and/or start presentation of all Cardinals/Cubs photographs by clicking on "Start Exhibit" button above title on this page.
