Black & white print of Carthage baseball team player Louis Duane Ballou of Hopeville IA posed swinging baseball bat on ballfield and in Carthage Cardinals uniform. Position: center field. Note this image is out of focus on original print. Career history: 1944 Onthank Appliance Semi-Pro, Iowa State Semi-Pro Champions, 1945 Johnson City TN Appalachian League, 1946-47 Carthage MO KOM League. 1950-51 in military service -- played for Fort Riley KS 10th Armored Division Team in 1950.
